James C Poe, a resident of Porterville, died in Porterville Thursday, April 12, 2001. He was 77. Services will be held at a later date. Mr Poe was born in Waveland, Ark. He was a resident of Porterville and a farm laborer for 45 years. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army. Survivors include three sons: Clifford, Andy, and James F Poe, all of Porterville; two daughters: Joann O'Daniel of Ducor and Connie Sims of Trinidad; a brother: Ernest Poe of Porterville; and three sisters: Dorothy Anderson, of Porterville, Ruth Turner of Bakersfield, and Virginia Chance of Oklahoma.
