Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burwell for Edwin A. Boysen, 63, who passed away at a Grand Island Hospital on Sunday, February 11.
Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery at Madison.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boysen Sr., Edwin Boysen was born April 11, 1915 in Green Garden precinct near Madison. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran church, Green Garden.
On August 2, 1953 he was married to Carrie Wright at St. John Green Garden. He farmed in the Green Garden area until moving to a ranch near Ericson, Nebr. In November, 1974, the couple moved into Ericson because his falling health.
Mr. Boysen was a veteran of World War II serving in the Corp. of Engineers for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie, his mother, Mrs. Rosetta H. Boysen of Madison, one brother Henry Jr., of Leeton, Missouri; four sisters, Lucile Boysen, Rosetta Boysen and Mrs. Aletha (Nathan), all of Madison and Mrs. Eileen Hendricks of Omaha.
He was proceded in death by his father, Henry Boysen Sr., two sisters, Mrs. Laverna Ray and Mrs. Loraine Deklotz; one nephew, Stephen Boysen and one niece, Patricia Hendricks.
Pallbearers were Alvis and James White and Terry and Keith Held, all of Ericson, and Ruben Zessin and Edwin Nathan, both of Madison.

The World War II veteran was married Aug. 2, 1953 to Carrie Wright. They farmed near Madison and Ericson until moving into Ericson in 1974.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Rosetta H. Boysen of Madison, one brother, Henry Jr., of Leeton, Mo; four sisters, Lucile Boysen, Rosetta M. Boysen, Mrs. Wilbur (Aletha) Nathan, of Madison and Mrs. Tom (Eileen) Hendricks of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.
Ed and Carrie had no children.
