HARMEIER, Goldie E. – Rte. 1, Merritt, age 82, died June 6, 1981 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Rev. Thurman W. Chenoweth officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Harmeier was born in Oklahoma, March 18, 1899 and has lived in Flint most of her life. She was a member of the Butterfield Church of the Nazarene and the Merritt Senior Citizens.
Surviving are husband, George; 6 children, Marvella Howe of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, William B. Ballard, Herschell Ballard, Betty Harmeier, Gerald R. Ballard, and Darrell R. Ballard all of Flint; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 step-children; 2 sisters, Mabel Hall and June Rines of Flint; nieces and nephews; numerous cousins.
