Josephine M. Bonnetti Mormelo, 92, of Scotch Plains died on Tuesday, July 15, at Ashbrook Nursing Home in Scotch Plains.

Born in Westfield, she had lived there until moving to Scotch Plains 12 years ago.

She had been employed as a clerical clerk by Huffman Koos in Rahway for 10 years, retiring in 1970.

Mrs. Mormelo was a member of the Clark Senior Citizens Club, the Westfield Civic Club, the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Westfield and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains.

Her husband, Bernardino Mormelo, died in 1947.

Surviving are a son, Bernard Mormelo of Barnegat; a daughter, Frances Previti of Scotch Plains; a brother Anthony Bonnetti of Elizabeth; four sisters, Angie Renna of Waterbury, Connecticut, Mildred Checchio of Scotch Plains, Eleanor Boger of Scotch Plains and Violet Duelks of West Palm, Florida; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Liturgy will be offered tomorrow, Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Visitation will take place at the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue West, in Cranford, today, Thursday, July 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., and tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m.

Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
