Graveside services will be in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, with the Rev. Glen Davis officiating.
Mrs. Hankinson, a native of Orangeburg, had taught in several Aiken County schools including Center Elementary School, Aiken, which is now J.D. Lever Elementary School. A 1915 graduate of the University of South Carolina, she served as a teacher and principal at Coleman School and was principal, teacher, pianist, music and drama leader at China Springs Elementary School. A former resident of Aiken, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken and was a former pianist at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul M. Hankinson Jr., Aiken; a daughter, Bessie H. Prementer, West Columbia; and two grandchildren.
