Mrs. Permenter was born on October 28, 1925, in Aiken, SC a daughter of the late Paul McCreary & Pearl Price Hankinson, Jr.
Mrs. Permenter retired as a secretary with the Department of Consumer Affairs. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Bessie Carolyn Hartman of Lexington; a son, Edward Ila Permenter, Jr., of Lexington and a granddaughter, Julianne Lee McClendon of Prescott, AZ.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00pm in Bethany Cemetery, corner of Hampton St. and Laurens St., Aiken, SC 29801 with Mr. Richard Spires officiating.
