Graveside services for Mavis Elizabeth Tanner, 96, of Montgomery, Texas, will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Damon Peterson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the service begins at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Tanner was born on March 9, 1923 in North Zulch, Texas, to parents, Abe A. Casey and Minnie (Coats) Casey, and passed away March 19, 2019 in Montgomery, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Alvin Tanner Jr.; and sister, Ruth Brady.

She is survived by her daughter; Tamara Peterson and husband, Damon of Erie, Pennsylvania; daughter, Sandra Renner of Portland, Oregon; son, Jeff Tanner and wife, Reba of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren, Bryony, Sheila, Stephanie, and Stacy; and 8 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Her granddaughter, Stephanie Harrigan, was her caregiver 24/7 for the last 7 years with the help of her daughter-in-law, Wendy Acosta.
