"Uncle Joe Baird Passed Away At Age Of 97 Sunday"

J. B. "Uncle Joe" Baird, age 97, of Jacksboro, passed away at Knoxville General Hospital 10:30 p.m. February 10 after a short illness. Survivors: two sons, Charles D. Baird and Homer G. Baird, Chattanooga; six daughters, Mrs. J. R. Perkins, Caryville, Mrs. W. D. Stanfill, Knoxville, Mrs. Harry Henson, Atlanta, Mrs. I. H. Huddleston, Mrs. A. L. Burkett, Mrs. N. B. Tatom, Chattanooga; one brother, M. L. Baird, Stanford, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. G. F. Lay, Martel, Tenn. Funeral at Jacksboro, TN at Jacksboro Baptist Church, of which he was a member, the Rev. Aiken, Pastor of the church officiating. Funeral services 2 p.m. February 12. Interment Jacksboro Cemetery. Pallbearers: Arley Lay, Russell Baird, Leonard Baird, Charles Brown, Lendon Baird and Floyd Baird. Honorary Pallbearers were deacons of Jacksboro Baptist Church

Those attending the funeral of Mr. Joe Baird of Jacksboro Tuesday were Mr. L. D. Baird, Mrs. Jesse Baird, Mr. Lloyd Baird, Mrs. Granville Willoughby, Mrs. Clyde Baird, Mr. Hudson Miller, and Edd Miller.
