"Yes, Calvin Russell Baird M.D. was the husband of Etta Clementine McCartt Baird. She died 22 Sept 1948. Orlando L. Baird was Dr. Baird's son by his first marriage. Other of his children by Etta McCartt Baird are buried there"

"Dr. Baird Last Rites Held In Jellico Church"
Funeral Of Prominent Physician and Business Man Is Largely Attended
Jellico-Many persons from LaFollette, Jacksboro, and other sections of the county attended the funeral here at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon of Dr. C.R. Baird of this place, who died at 5 o'clock Monday morning. The rites were held in the First Baptist Church. Dr. Baird was for years prominent as a physician, lawyer and business man. He had extensive coal and lumber interests. He had dry goods business interests in Jellico, Chattanooga and Hazard, Ky. and in Jellico Knitting Mills. He represented Campbell, Scott and Union Counties in the Legislature in 1901. He was also formerly Campbell County school superintendent. Dr. Baird was 75. He is survived by his widow and 10 children - O.L. , K.D. and Clyde of Jellico, D.N. and R.B. of Pineville, C.R. of Oneida, and Clifford Baird of Harlan; Mrs. George Allen of Elk Valley, Mrs. Joe D. Smith of Orange City, Fla., and Mrs. Hutson Miller of Jellico. He also had six brothers and two sisters, M.N. and Z.D. of Jellico, M.L. of Hutsonville, Ky., Frank of Elk Valley, Miller of Jacksboro, Joe B. Baird, Mrs. D.G. Nobles of Jellico, Mrs. Flem Lay of LaFollette.
