CONVERSE - Mrs. Edna Fern Hayes, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Brunadean Adams, RR 1, Fairmount.
She was born in Wabash County and had been a resident of Fairmount for the past 26 years. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Converse Christian Church and her husband, Elmer, died in 1951.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Maxine Beall, Wabash, Mrs. Geraldine Dedecker, RR 2, Fairmount, and Mrs. Wilda Marie Webb, Fairmount; four sons, La Verne, RR 2, Marion, Gerald, Lincolnville, Verle, RR 4, Huntington, and Guy, RR 6, Marion; one sister, Mrs. Carl Larrison, Logansport; two brothers, Glen Allen, Swayzee, and Frank Allen, Converse; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Converse Christian Church with Rev. R.S. Grubb officiating. Burial will be in Thrailkill Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. today at the Larrison Funeral Home. The body will be at the church one hour before services.
