SANDY RIDGE — Ezra "Lee" Amos, 83, of 3294 Amostown Rd., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the Amos Family Cemetery located on Amostown Rd., Sandy Ridge.

Lee was born on April 5, 1928 in Stokes County to the late Andrew Jackson and Lottie Joyce Amos. He was a life long resident of Stokes County and was a tobacco farmer. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lowell and Noel Amos and sisters, Artie Mabe and Etta May Wood.

Survivors include a son, Rickey Amos of Sandy Ridge, a daughter, Sandra Richardson of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Dale Amos of Winston Salem, Bryan Amos (Leigh Ann) of Sandy Ridge, Luane Joyce (Jerry) of Madison, Amber McBride of Kernersville, and Regina Allen (Jason) also of Kernersville; seven great-grandchildren, Austin and Skylar Amos, Cadence Cole, Kane Wilson, Andrew and Logan Allen, and Riley Joyce.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amos Family Cemetery, C/o Darrell Lester, 3212 Amostown Rd., Sandy Ridge, NC 27046.

Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
