ROSCOE -- Loyd Thomas Campbell, 97, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at Roscoe Health Care Center in Roscoe, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the Champion Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

Loyd was born on July 27, 1907 in Cass County, Texas. He married Ollie Louise Spence on September 15, 1928 in Belton, Texas. He was a retired farmer and lived most of his life in Nolan County, Texas since 1920. He was a member of the Champion Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Frances Petty and husband, Wilford of Roscoe; a son, J. L. Campbell and wife, Roberta of Roscoe; a brother, John Campbell of Sweetwater; sisters, Birdie Louis Stamps of Irving, Texas, and Mattie Lou Hestland of Sweetwater; five grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ollie Louise Spence Campbell on December 6, 1971 and ten brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at the funeral home.
