Mrs. Elva Pearl Mounts Weems, 53, wife of Dan Weems of Center Point died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6 1965, in a Nashville hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 in the Church of Christ at Dierks by Leroy Alexander and Roger Turner, ministers of Church of Christ. Burial was in Burg cemetery, directed by Wilkerson Funeral Service. A life-long resident of Howard county, she was born Nov 21, 1911 in Dierks and was a member of the Church of Christ. Other than her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Karen Weems of Center point: four brothers, George,Roy and Wilburn Mounts of Dierks and Dale Mounts,of Camden: five sisters, Mrs. Archie Bearden , Mrs. L. L. Cook, Mrs. Earl Golden and Mrs J. C. Kesterson, Dierks and Mrs Arlis Harris of De Queen.
