Christine Young Quarles, 90, of Asheville, passed away July 5, 2011. She was born in Heath Springs, SC to the late Charlie Ross and Laura Adams Young and had lived in Buncombe County since childhood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers, Charles, Jack and Joe and sister, Caryl Holcombe.
She is survived by her son, John Washburn and wife, Elaine of Arden; sister, Betty Riddle, and husband, Vance; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Christine was a little lady with a big heart. She will be greatly missed.
