DECATUR - John "Jack" Joseph Albert, 89, of Decatur, died 7:30 a.m. February 11, 2005, in McKinley Court Nursing Center. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday February 14, 2005 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Gabbard officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday February 13, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown. The family requests casual attire. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon United Methodist Church. Jack was born April 15, 1915 in Decatur the son of Jack and Nora (Diss) Albert. He owned and operated Albert Plumbing and Hardware in the early sixties. He then owned and operated Jack Albert Plumbing and Heating with his son, Mike. He helped with Habitat for Humanity and belonged to the Kiwanis Golden K. He enjoyed golfing and Bowling in the church and senior leagues as he was able. He was a member of Trueblood Church from 1933 until the early 1950's. Then he became a member of the Sharon United Methodist Church. He married Eileen Marie Greer on May 11, 1934 in Decatur.
