Obituary from Deseret News (Salt Lake City, UT) - Monday, January 24, 1944:
AMMON, IDAHO - Mrs. Martha Ashdown Ellingford, 67, died Saturday at her home here of a heart ailment.
She was born April 6, 1876 at Bountiful, Utah, and was married to Arthur Ellingford in February 1896 in the Logan Temple. She came to Idaho in 1894 residing since in the vicinity of Ammon. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Besides her husband, seven sons and daughters survive: Arthur Jr., Samuel, Benjamin Ellingford, Mrs. Glen Call and Mrs. Lindsey Hayes, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Cecil James and Mrs. O.A. Smedley, Bountiful, Utah; four brothers and sisters: B. R. Ashdown, Idaho Falls; Lawrence Ashdown, Mrs. Amy Hatch, and Mrs. Elsie Hermansen, Bountiful, Utah; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Ammon Ward Chapel with Bishop Reed Blatter officiating. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
