Obituary from The Post-Register (Idaho Falls, ID) - Tuesday, January 8, 1946:
Arthur Ellingford, 77, retired farmer of Ammon, died Monday night at a local hospital. He had been in ill health for several months but became seriously ill shortly before New Year's Day. He was taken to the hospital last Wednesday.
Funeral services have been set for Thursday at the Ammon LDS Church with Bishop Reed Blatter of the Ammon Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ellingford was born November 22, 1868 in England and came to American with his parents in 1877. He was married to Martha Ashdown on February 19, 1896 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Ellingford died in January of 1944.
In 1897 he filled a mission to England returning in October of 1899 to Ammon where he has lived ever since. Since then he has been a successful farmer in that vicinity.
Survivors include the following sons and daughters: A. Edward Ellingford, Samuel R. Ellingford, Benjamin L. Ellingford, Mrs. Elsie Call, all of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Gertrude James, Mrs. Zola Smedley, Bountiful, Utah; Mrs. Jennie Hayes, Montpelier. One sister, MRs. Rosa Owen, Ammon, and 20 grandchildren also survive.
