She had been a resident of the Swords Creek area of Russell County most of her life, moving to Newport News in 1983, and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert H. Wilson.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Nancy) Young of Newport News and Mrs. James (Joyce) Dye of Akron, Ohio; son, Bayes Wilson of Salem, Va.; sister, Mrs. Shirley Herndon of Cedar Bluff, Va.; brother, Rev. Carter Wells of Bristol, Va.; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Mike Altizer and the Rev. Carter Wells officiating. Burial will be at the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va.
