He was a native of Swords Creek, a salesman and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith M. Wells; two sons, Larry and William Wells; one daughter, Sandra Wells. Also surviving are his stepmother, four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Raven Methodist Church with burial following in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery.
