Thomas A. DeJohn, 83, of Camillus, passed away Thursday in Upstate University Hospital at Community General. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, Tom was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a mason for more than 40 years, A member of the Vendetti Club, he was the last surviving brother of the "Boxing DeJohn Boys" and a Golden Glove boxer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Nagy DeJohn, in 2002. Surviving are his daughter, Deborah (Robert) Bowe of Canastota; sons, John (Grace) DeJohn of Liverpool and Gary (Darlene) DeJohn of Cicero; daughter, Kristine (Kenneth) Williams of Marcellus; grandchildren, Jarod, Jodie, Tyler and Desiree DeJohn and Wyatt, Emerson and Walker Williams. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Tom will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
