While residing in Canada, he served in the Canadian Merchant Marines. During the Korean War he served as a cook in the United States Army. On June 25, 1955, he married Susan "Sue" (Beltrano) Asadoorian in St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls and together they settled in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Asadoorian predeceased him on May 29, 2003. Ace began working as a chef at Louie's Restaurant on Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls. He then worked in the production department at Kimberly Clark and, along with his brothers, operated Doorian's Pizzeria in St. Catharines, Ontario during the 1960's and 1970's. He later was also a cook at Lindy's Deli in Wheatfield, NY and at Cruiser's Lounge in Town of Niagara, NY. In his leisure he enjoyed horse racing, going to OTB and playing dice, especially craps. Ace was a member of the Armenian Club in St. Catharines. Most importantly, his life centered on his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Mr. Asadoorian is survived by two daughters, Darlene (Lawrence) Lindsay and Debbie (Eugene) Pucci, both of Town of Niagara, NY; five grandchildren, Larry (Jamie) Lindsay, Gregory Lindsay, Gina Pucci, Renee (Justin) Daly and Amanda Pucci; three great-grandchildren, Madison and Jordan Lindsay, and Ella Daly; three brothers, Ernest (Rose) Asadoorian of Tampa, FL, David (Lorraine) Asadoorian of St. Catharines, Ont., and Frank (Martha) Asadoorian of Detroit, MI; one sister, Pearl (John) Sarkissian of Detroit, MI and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary (late Harry) Dardarian; and two brothers, Harry Asadoorian and George (late Roxy) Asadoorian.
