On June 4, 1936, Lester was united in marriage to Sophia T. Koss, by A. E. Willis, J.P., at Island Lake, Rusk County, Wisconsin. Sophia was born November 27, 1917, at Columbia Heights, Minnesota, daughter of John Koss and Theresa Harezlak, Austrian immigrants. She died September 20, 1993, at Bloomer, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, aged 75 years, 9 months and 23 days, and was buried in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Chetek, Barron County, Wisconsin. Their children, all born in Wisconsin, were:

At the time of their marriage Lester was the 29 year old operator of a pool hall in Weyerhauser and Sophia was a housewife of the same place.
John and Theresa Koss are buried in the Weyerheauser Cemetery, Weyerheauser, Rusk County, Wisconsin. The three graves in the Koss family plot are inscribed "Theresa Koss 1881 – 1962; John Koss 1876 – 1955;" and "Joseph Koss 1904 – 1974."
Lester graduated from the Weyerhaeuser High School on May 22, 1924. Following in the footsteps of his father, he obtained employment with the railroad, working for the Duluth-Mesaba-Northern Railroad, where he worked in the shops and tended the engine of Number 400 Passenger Train. He also had the honor of tending the engines of the Presidential train of Calvin Coolidge when it traveled through Wisconsin.
After his marriage Lester and Sophia bought Kobliska Hall in Weyerhaeuser, from his father and operated it until sometime in 1939. While in Weyerhaeuser Lester was appointed Village Treasurer for one year and elected to that position the following year. Later they moved to a farm West of Chetek where their children grew up and graduated from high school. Later they lived in New Auburn and then moved to Lone Oak Manor, Apt. 27, Chetek, Wisconsin 54728. After Sophia's death, Lester lived alone a few months, and then moved to the Bloomer Rest Home, Bloomer, Wisconsin.

Lester D. Kobliska, 88, of Chetek died Aug. 24 at the Maplewood in Bloomer. Funeral services were Saturday at Burnham-Ours Funeral Home in Chetek, with parish directors Joan and Shirley Bayer officiating. Burial was at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Chetek.
Mr. Kobliska was born July 19, 1906 in Weyerhaeuser to Mary and Joseph Kobliska. He graduated from Weyerhaeuser High School in 1924. He married Sophia Koss on June 4, 1936 at Island Lake. He worked for Duluth/Mesaba Railroad and owned and operated Kobliska Dance Hall in Weyerhaeuser. He also farmed near Chetek. He retired to New Auburn and then Chetek. He was past village treasurer of Weyerhaeuser.
He is survived by three sons, Allen of Yarmouth Port, Mass., Lester, Jr., of Sheboygan and Marcus of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Theresa Shippy of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Kathy Shippy of Kittery, Maine; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
