William Taylor, 77, of 2239 Gramercy died at nine a.m. today at a local hospital of causes incident to age. Mr. Taylor was born Feb, 22, 1872, in Ogden, the son of John Wade and Mary Young Taylor. On Oct. 17, 1894, he married Mae Badger in the L.D.S. Salt Lake temple. On Oct. 15, 1944 they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniverary. He was a member of the high priest quorum, Ogden Stake. He had resided in the Third ward for 38 years, where he was active in Sunday school work, and for the past 40 years had resided in the Fourth ward. He was a retired Denver and Rio Grande Railroad employee. Surviving are his widow, Mae; a sister, Mrs. Isabella Hill, Ogden; and the following sons and daughters: Eldred O Taylor, Bakersfield, Calif; Lowell B Taylor, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wilber Couch, Provo; Gerald, Frank, and Vernon Taylor, Ogden; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Saturday at one p.m. in the L.D.S. Fourth ward by Bishop George Wright. Burial will be in Ogden City cemetery.
