Services for E. O. Taylor, 77, will be at Tri-ward Chapel of the Latter-day Saints Church, 1903 Bernard Street, on Monday at 10 a.m. Bishop Robert D. Hemingway will officiate.

Mr. Taylor, a Bakersfield resident since 1926 and longtime public accountant, died Wednesday in a Bakersfield hospital.

A 1913 graduate of Weber State College Mr. Taylor worked in San Francisco for a canning firm prior to moving to Bakersfield.

Mr. Taylor was active in church activities and served in church leadership positions for many years. He once headed Sunday school and genealogical work for the California Mission, a task requiring extensive travel in Southern California and Arizona. He also served as supervisor at the LDS Los Angeles Temple until 1970, when he left due to ill health.

Survivors include the widow, Julia Maddock; three sons, E. Wayne, Lawrence E., and Glenn W. Taylor, all of Bakersfield, 3 brothers, Vernon Y. and Frank Taylor of Bakersfield and Lowell Taylor of Utah, and 11 grandchildren.
