NORTH BENNINGTON - Walter E. Hosford, 82, former resident of North Bennington, died early Saturday morning in the Saratoga, N.Y., Hospital. He had been in frail health for some time.
His wife, Grace Fonda Hosford, died in 1950. Four children survive him; Raymond, of Saratoga, N.Y.; Leonard of New York City; Dorothy (Mrs. James Hurlburt) of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; and Helen (Mrs. Wesley Green), of North Bennington. Another daughter, Ethel (Mrs. Dewey McNall of Cambridge, died last October. He also leaves 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The funeral was held today from the Garrett Funeral Home in Greenwich, N.Y., with the Rev. Powell of the Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Grand View Cemetery in North Bennington in the Spring.
