Mrs. Hurlburt; Formerly From Salem
BENNINGTON, Vt. - Mrs. James P. Hurlburt, 67, formerly of North Bennington and recently of Salem and Sarasota, Fla., died Sunday at the Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington after a long illness.
Born in Charlotte, Vt., she was the former Dorothy L. Hosford. She attended schools in Vermont and Greenwich.
Mrs. Hurlburt, who later resided in Croton-on-Hudson, was a member of Eastern Star and the DAR in Croton. Survivors besides her husband include two sons, James P. Hurlburt Jr. of New Windsor and John B. Hurlburt of Schenectady; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Sayitt of Hartsdale; one sister, Mrs. Wesley Green of North Bennington and one brother, Leonard Hosford of Monroe.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am from the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, Bennington, where Rev. Alan Barnes, pastor of the Bennington Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
