Louis Alvin McLean, 60, retired farmer and Avon employee, of 3070 Levee Road, Mt. Sterling, died Oct. 24th at his residence following a long illness.

A native of Montgomery County, he was the son of Mrs. Thelma Chandler and the late Charles Francis McLean, a member of the Mt. Sterling First Church of God and a veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include his wife, Betty Coyle McLean; one son, Michael McLean of Mt. Sterling; a daughter, Cindy Ann Roberts of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Darvin McLean and Charles McLean of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Frances Staton of Mt. Sterling, Carolyn Omohundro of Salt Lick and Lula Chandler of Montgomery County.

Rev. David Hall, Rev. Steve Greer and Rev. Cova Duvall officiated at the services held October 26th at Eastin-Taul Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rick Omohundro, Daniel Omohundro, Terry Omohundro, Tommy Chandler, Jimmy Chandler, Doug Chandler, Allen Justice, Craig Shepherd and Ronnie Coyle.

Honorary bearers were Jimmy Goodpaster, John Chandler, Jr., J. D. Arrowsmith, Hamp Hoskins, Paul Jones, Glen Richards, Otis Amburgey, Steve Brown and Gordon Newkirk.
