She married her husband Luther Creed (L.C.) Hill on October 19, 1940 in Wellington. During WW II Olivia taught science in the Wichita Falls public schools while her husband was stationed there. Later she was a home maker for her farming and ranching family and was in charge of bookkeeping for the operation.

As an artist herself she exhibited and received awards for her oils and watercolors and created ceramic items of which the Nativity figurines stand out the most. Olivia took part in painting lectures in other parts of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce awarded her the "Golden Nail Award" for her volunteer work and financial support to the Amarillo Symphony, Opera and Theater events. Her interest in the culture of other nations inspired her to travel to many different countries in Europe and Central America. But most of all she loved to be with her family, playing bridge with her large circle of friends and enjoying the special occasions in her life.

Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband L.C., son Creed, daughter Frances Schmidt, grandson Frederic Schmidt, sister Mary Frances Walker and nephew Scott Walker.

She is survived by her son in law Adolf Schmidt of Wellington, grandson Britt Schmidt and wife Helen, great granddaughter Mary Helen Schmidt and great grandson David Schmidt, all of Houston, TX, nephew John Walker and wife Karen of Amarillo and niece Freda Wagner and husband Bob of Etna, California.
