She was a member of the Tolar United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Circle.
She loved to sing and listen to gospel music and enjoyed her work at the Granbury Opera House. Mrs. Swaim lived in the same home for 61 years and loved working in her yard, especially her flowerbeds. In the kitchen, she made the best caramel pie in Hood County and many community occasions were graced with her pies. She was an avid sports fan and actively supported sporting events in Tolar.
