Born in Elkport, Emma was the daughter of William and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Maria (Kafer) Meyer. She married Miles S. Alderson; on January 4, 1911, in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Gary W. Lewis.
Emma is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Marcella A. (Eldon) Fenton and Marvel M. (Carl) Lewis.
