Mrs. Charles Albert

Le Mars, Iowa—Mrs. Charles George Albert, 85, LeMars, died March 2 [1974] at a LeMars hospital. Services will be a 2 p.m. March 5 at First Baptist Church, LeMars. The Rev. Robert Hanthorn will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mauer Funeral Chapel, LeMars.

Mrs. Albert, the former Gertrude Ellen Vandermeer, was born Sept. 13, 1888, at LeMars. She was married June 21, 1910, at Pierre. Mr. Albert died in 1928.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Gold Star Mother of World War II.

Survivors include a son, Richard, of LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Kehrberg and Mrs. Farley Peterson, both of LeMars; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren, and three step-great-great grandchildren.
