MRS. JESSE SINGLETON
Weston - Mrs. Mary C. Singleton 47, of Rt 1 Weston, Simpsons Run, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital following several months of illness.
She was born in Lewis County, September 23, 1922, a daughter of Samuel H. Bailey of Rt. 1, Weston, who survives and the late Amy B. Lovett Bailey. On September, 4 1941, she married to Jesse E. Singleton, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn L. Mack, Dayton Ohio, Mrs. Rita Lynn Carpenter, Buckhannon, and Janet L. Singleton, Washington D.C.; three sons, Joseph E. Singleton, Bryan, Ohio, David Earl and Peter Edwin Singleton both at home; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel L. Bennett, Weston, Mrs. Reva Butcher, Rt. 1, Weston, Mrs. Mae B. Gaines, Clarksburg and Mrs. Linda D. Kacinec, Dayton, Ohio; two brothers Lee M. Bailey, Rt. 1 Weston and S. Wayne Bailey, Dayton, Ohio. One sister, Martha and one brother Henry L., preceded her in death.
Mrs. Singleton was a member of the Gee Lick United Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church. She was also a member of the Gee Lick Farm Woman's Club and OES Chapter NO 40, Weston.
