Marion Loomis, 80, of Taylorville died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. He was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Macon, the son of Glenn and Mary Renfro Loomis. He married Alice Warner. An infant son, Terry, preceded him in death. Mr. Loomis was a retired farmer and self-employed salesman. Survivors: wife, Alice; two sons, Jerry (wife, Donna) Loomis of Taylorville and Earl Loomis of Pana; a daughter, Sally (husband, Ron) Bethard of Taylorville; four grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Jim Stevens. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis, the Rev. Orville Denton officiating. Burial: Macon Cemetery.
