Funeral services for Charlie R. Price, 80, of Swainsboro, who died Monday morning in a local hospital after an extended illness, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Bethynia Primitive Baptist Church, with Elders Gus Walden, W.C. Kicklighter and the Rev. M. Sason officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetery.
He was a Deacon in the Bethynia Primitive Baptist Church, and was a native of Johnson County. He was the son of the late Frank Price and Mrs. Lou Fort Price of Johnson County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Zona Jones Price, two daughters, Mrs. Sara Haley, Dublin, and Mrs. Louella Hagan, Garden City; seven sons, Leroy Price, Dublin, Wiley Price, Rossville, Eugene Price, Swainsboro, Vestus Price, Dublin, Frank Price, Jacksonville, Fla., Earl Price, Savannah, Cecil Price, Rincon; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Mae Thompson, Twin City; 33 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Roy B. Price, David Price, W. R. Price, Dennis Price, Earl Price, Donald Price.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Scott, Jim Edenfield, J. M. Allen, Leon Lamb, G. L. Thigpen, Mitchell Henry, Cleon Fulford, Wiley Powell, Rudolph McBride, Perry McBride, Jack Overstreet.
Friends may call at Swainsboro Mortuary until 2:30 p.m. Monday.
