Funeral services will be held Friday for Mrs. Fannie Freas of 407 Woodland Avenue, who died Tuesday in Mountain View Christian Home in Hillsdale at the age of 91.
Friends will be received in the Pifer Funeral Home on Friday when services will be held in the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church. The Rev. Herbert Lohr will officiate and burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, near Reynoldsville.
Mrs. Freas was born July 26, 1881, in Sprankle Mills, a daughter of William & Rosetta Smith Doverspike and was married to Harvey 0. Freas, who died in 1962.
A lifelong resident of the Punxsutawney area,
she was a member of the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid Society, the Womens Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, and the Grandmothers Club.
Surviving are five daughters:
Mrs. Louis Hauck of Brookville;
Mrs. James Henretty of DuBois;
Mrs. Ralph Shaw of Westgrove;
Mrs. Steven DeSiloio of Norwich, Conn.,
and Mrs. A. W DeMatts of Ellicott City, Md.;
three sons:
A. W. Freas, of Los Angeles, Calif;
James Freas of Sherman Oaks, Calif.;
and John Freas of Punxsutawney R.D. 1.
She leaves also 14 grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren
and a sister, Mrs Mary Burkett of Sprankle Mills.
