DAVID H. DOVERSPIKE DIES, AGED 49 YEARS
Respected Frostburg Resident Succumbs Following Operation
Funeral Wednesday
David H. Doverspike, of Frostburg, who has resided his entire life in the Frostburg and Sprankle Mills sections, died at 7:15 this morning in the Punxsutawney Hospital. He had undergone an operation 10 days ago for appendicitis and his condition from the outset was such that no hope was held for his recovery.
The deceased was born near Sprankle Mills 49 years ago, the son of William and Rosetta Doverspike. He was married to Miss Minnie Geist 32 years ago and the couple resided near Sprankle Mills until they moved to Frostburg several years ago. Mr. Doverspike was a member of the I. 0. O..F. and of the Grange. He was a successful farmer and enjoyed the esteem of his every acquaintance.
He leaves his widow and the following sons and daughters; Carl, of Punxsutawney; Chloe, at home; Jay; of Aliquippa; Ralph, of Punxs'y; Mrs. Elmer Mohney, of Frostburg; Esther, at home. He also leaves his father, William, of near SprankIe Mills; and the following brothers and sisters; William, Mrs. George Himes, of Sprankle Mills; Mrs. Harvey Freas, Mrs. James Raybuck, of Punxsutawney; Mrs. Walter Ames of Timblin; Quay, of Midland; Mary, of Sprankle Mills; Mrs. Harry Hetrick, of Aliquippa. He also leaves six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon. The body will be taken from the home at 1 o'clock to the Chapel Church where services will be conducted by Rev. Robinson. Burial in Chapel Cemetery.
