Alice, Keto Viola, Maisie E., Edna Ethel, Cora Mildred and Elden L. Cope were children born to Daniel Jessie, son of George and Eliza Jane Abbey Cope, daughter of Jonathan E. and Mary E._____Abbey, and Effie Viola McCain, daughter of Simon L. and Sarah Ann Corey McCain. Son of Thomas L. and Rebecca Nevins McCain and daughter of George W. and Mary____Corey.
Alice married, 16 Dec 1922, at Evart Osceola Co MI, Ceril G. Friend Sr., son of George Edgar and Clara Belle LePard Friend.
Their marriage was blessed with children: Forrest, Marjorie, Mildred and Clara Lou, and Blanch Arlene, who died in infancy.
They lived their entire lives in Osceola Co MI. Ceril had several different jobs, from managing a filling station (to the uneducated a (filling) gas station that actually performed a service of pumping gas and washing a cars windshield among other chores too mundane to do today) and Alice worked at such a filling station, as well as being a teacher with the Osceola County school system.
Ceril passed away 09 Dec 1970.
