Keto Viola, Alice Lillian, Maisie E., Edna Ethel, Cora Mildred and Elden L., were children born to Daniel Jesse, son of George and Eliza Jane Abbey Cope, and Effie Viola McCain Cope, daughter of Simon L. and Sarah Ann Corey McCain.
Maisie married Marvin L. Katke, son of John F. and Laura___ Katke. Their marriage was blessed with sons, John Daniel and David J. Katke.
Maisie and Marvin became quite wealthy, John started out as a Tool Maker, became an engineer and eventually an executive vice president for Ford Motor Company. They shared their good fortune by donating thousands of dollars to many different colleges, universities, and other organizations in Michigan...a very nice legacy for both of them
Maisie was also a Conservationist and an enthusiastic bird watcher. She served in leadership roles for the Women's National Farm and Garden, an ecological conservation group. She also participated in the organization of the Meadow Brook Music Festival and the Meadow Brook Theatre.
