Mrs. Delos Robinson

Mrs. Kate (Bissell) Robinson died Friday night at West Oneonta, after an illness of several weeks caused by strokes.

Mrs. Robinson was born seventy-six years ago in the town of New Lisbon, the daughter of Theron and Harriet (Reynolds) Bissell. The family soon moved to Hartwick where most of her life was spent.

Forty years ago, she was united in marriage to Delos Robinson who died in 1925. After several years, Mrs. Robinson went to Oneonta where she lived for several years. Returning to Hartwick three years ago, she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Carrie Mathewson.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Mathewson; a niece, Mrs. Ethel Risley; a nephew, Ford Risley of Hartwick and many cousins; two step-sons, B. G. Robinson of Hartwick and Gene Robinson of Buffalo.

The funeral services were held from the Stillwell Funeral parlors Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. R. E. Austin, pastor of the Hartwick M. E. church, officiating. Burial was made in the Hartwick cemetery.

The bearers were Messrs. William Risley, Ford Risley, Burt Reynolds, B. G. Robinson, Frances Walling and Edward Risley.

Those attending from out-of-town were the following; Mrs. Homer Anderson, Mrs. Alva Walling, Frances Walling, Miss Catherine Clune, Mrs. Tony Naragan and Charles Blanchard of Oneonta, Mr. and Mrs. William Bissell and son, Harry Bissell of Garrattsville, Bert Reynolds and Mrs. Elsie Mathewson of Cooperstown. There were floral pieces from the Willing Workers' Aid, from Mrs. Homer Anderson, Mrs. Naragan, Oneonta neighbors and friends and immediate family.
