Delos G. Robinson, for many years a feed merchant and farmer at Hartwick, but for the past fifteen years a resident of Oneonta, died at his home No. 1 Mickle Place, Wednesday night, January 21st, at 8 p. m., following an illness of nearly three years. Death was due to dilation of the heart. Funeral services were held from his late home, Saturday, January 24th, at 1 o'clock p. m. The body was brought to Hartwick and place in the vault for later interment beside his first wife and son, Frederick D., who died years ago. Mr. Robinson was married three times. His first wife was Ellen R. Brownell; his second, Cora Hill, who died a few years later. Twenty-seven years ago, January 22nd, he was united in marriage with Kate Bissell, who survives him together with two sons by his first marriage; Burton G. Robinson of Hartwick and Eugene E. Robinson of Buffalo.
Mr. Robinson was born in Hartwick October 28, 1850, youngest son of George F. Robinson and Rhoda Hoag. In 1912 he moved to Oneonta to reside. For ten years he was a valued employe of the Riverside Manufacturing Company, serving as fireman. He was forced by failing health to relinquish that position about three years ago. He was an attendant at the Methodist church. The funeral services at the house were conducted by the Rev. Dr. J. W. Flynn of the First M. E. church of Oneonta and the commitment service was conducted by the Rev. A. H. Landmesser of the M. E. church of Hartwick.
