She was a very active, artistic, entertaining lady and much admired in the various communities that she lived in. She had been a Home Health Care Provider and got very attached to the families of those that she helped. Virginia was very active in the Methodist Churches in Lonaconing and lastly Midland.
Her husband John Batrie Steiding preceded her in death. She met and went boating on Deep Creek Lake with Albert Einstein.
She was 72 years old at the time of her death and had been living in the Devlin apartments in Midland. She had one sister Maxine Knight living in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother John Mason living in Newberry Park, Ca. at the time of her death, when she died at Sacred Heart Hospital after a very brief illness.

Susan Steiding born 14 Jan 1948 married to Vic Baker of Midland, Allegany County, Maryland.
Ann Steiding born 17 March 1951 in Maryland, married Michael Spataro.
At the time of Virginia's death, she had 4 grandsons, Eric Baker, John Werner and Richard Scott Steiding, and Lance Spataro.
