The body of Pfc. Robert S. Wiggerly, wounded and then killed in six months overseas action during the war, is to be returned to Delaware County Thursday, four years after his death on the Anzio Beachhead in Italy. He was the son of Forrest R. Wiggerly, Daleville, R.F.D. 1.

Young Wiggerly was employed at the Kaiser Machine Shop and the Warner Machine Shop prior to his induction in March of 1943, at the age of 19. After training at Camp Wolters, Tex., he went overseas in August and was wounded in November. Recovering, he returned to action and was reported missing in action at Anzio, Feb. 16, 1945. He was declared dead as of that date and his body later recovered from a temporary cemetery in Neltuno, Italy.

His overseas service was with the 45th InfantryDivision of the Fifth Army.

Upon arrival here, the body is to be taken to the Parson Mortuary, but will be taken at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to the family residence near Daleville.
