Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 1pmCT,. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Herbert Janes and Bro. Carl Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, 4350 Milltown Road, Columbia, KY, where she will be laid to rest from this journey. Forever at peace. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, October 29, 2011.
Grandsons will serve as Casket Bearers.
Bell Marie Keltner, Adair County, KY (1923-2011)
She was born May 17, 1923 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Pearl Downey Burris. She died Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 10 days.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ceoda "Jack" Keltner; four brothers, Ray, Coakley, Gilbert and Paul Burris; and two sisters, Katherine Holmes and Barbara Ann Simpson.
Bell and Jack were married on May 18, 1940. Many years of love and memories were shared. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a member of Tarter's Chapel Methodist Church.
She was blessed with four children, who all survive:
Sons: Carolyn R (Edna) Keltner of Columbia and Jerry (Judy) Keltner of Campbellsville, KY
Daughters : Becky (Herbert) Janes and Pam (Lonnie) Riddle all of Columbia, KY
The following also survive:
Brother: Garnett (Donna) Burris of Campbellsville, KY
Sister: Hilda (Billy) Holmes of Louisville, KY
Twelve grandchildren
Twenty nine great grandchildren
Two step great grandchildren
