"Martin Armbruster, aged seventy-two years, died at his home on Pine street, Corinth, on Sunday at 5:30 p.m., after an illness of three weeks, incident to old age. Mr. Armbruster had been a resident of Corinth about twenty years, and was in the employ of the Hudson River Paper Company for ten years prior to the merging of that company with the International Paper Company, continuing with the latter company until about two years ago, when his gradually failing health compelled his resignation. In January, 1907, Mr. Armbruster was bereaved by the death of his wife, from the shock of which it is believed he never fully recovered. He leaves to mourn his decease two sons, George, residing in Holland, Michigan, and Gotlieb, residing in Nekoosa, Wisconsin; also two daughters, Mrs. Rose Priester, residing in Corinth, and Mrs. Anna Jaegger, residing in International Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Armbruster was exceedingly domestic in his disposition, spending nearly all his leisure time at home. He was most highly esteemed among his fellow workmen and all who knew him. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed." ["The Saratogian" (Saratoga Springs, NY), Tuesday, May 17, 1910, p. 4]
