George Washington Stephenson (son of Reuben W. Stephenson and Elizabeth Givens Bowen) lived briefly in Glencoe, Kansas but returned to Missouri about 1881. He became a prominent fruit grower in Lewis County, Missouri. He married (1) Ollie Powell on January 7, 1894. She died October 29, 1895 and he married (2) Ida Florence Goings on September 20, 1903 in Lewis County, Missouri.
