Suicide Verdict Given In Death Of Mrs. C. M. Olin
Mrs. Caroline May Olin, 48, of Chapel Road, who was found dead on the rear porch of her home around 10 pm last night, has been listed as an apparent suicide, according to the State Police.
Born in Bennington June 29, 1906, Mrs. Olin was the daughter of the late Calvin and Cora Percey Andrews. Although her first name was Caroline, she was known to most people as "Carrie". Her education had been received in the local grammar schools and she had also attended Bennington High School. Since a young woman, she had been a domestic helper in several households in Bennington and had proved herself most capable, trustworthy and painstaking. Her services were in demand far ahead of what she could fulfill. Sevearl homes in which she had been on duty, are saddened and her untimely death is a profound loss. She had made a host of friends during her short lifetime.
Her hobbies included sewing, hunting and fishing and she was accomplished in all three.
Survivors are her husband, Fred L. Olin, to whom she was married in August 1950; two brothers, Frank R. Andrews and Harry P. Andrews; a half brother, Henry Andrews.
Funeral services will be privately held. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 today and tomorrow.
