Death of Mr. James A. Finney.
Mr. James A. Finney died on Thursday of last week at his home near Rock Spring. He was 30 years of age and had spent his life in that community. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Finney, Sr. He leaves many relatives and friends in this section. He is survived by his father and step-mother and four brothers - Charles, Jr., Walter, Bruce and Phil Finney, and one sister, Mrs. H. H. McGinty, Guntersville, Ala. The deceased was an exemplary Christian, having joined the Rock Spring Baptist Church when 12 years of age. Last Friday morning funeral services were held at the Rock Spring Baptist Church and interment made in the cemetery there. The funeral sermon was preached by Dr. W. C. Bledsoe, an old friend and many years pastor of the family, in the presence of a large company who assembled to pay their tribute of love and respect to the deceased.
