Alfred J. Meyer is the Victim of Pulmonary Tuberculosis At Walker Saturday
The death of Alfred J. Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meyer of Bend, Oregon, formerly of Pierz, occurred at the state santitarium at Walker Sunday at 9 p.m. Mr. Meyer has been a sufferer of pulmonary tuberculosis since three years ago and several months ago he entered the Walker institution in an effort to regain his health but without avail.
Alfred J. Meyer was born in Pierz June 17, 1905, and had passed the twenty-fifth year of his life when death called him. He has always made his home near Pierz with exception of two years he spent in Florida.
Besides his parents, the deceased leaves to mourn his death the following brothers and sisters: Wm. Meyer of Brithish Columbia, Mrs. Herman Faust and Frank and Hubert of St. Cloud, Mrs. John Schlegel, Nick and Miss Helen Meyer of Bend, Oregon, Mrs. Henry Kruschek of Pierz and Mrs. Christ Schlegel of Little Falls.
The remains were brought here for burial which took place following the burial services at St. Joseph's church in this village at 9 o'clock this Thursday morning.
