Mrs. Sam (Cresence) Nilges, 78, a resident of St. Mary's Villa, Pierz, died Saturday in St. Gabriel's Hospital. She was born in Pierz, Dec. 10, 1891 and had lived in that area all her life.
Surviving her are five sons and six daughters: Casper Kruschek, Hillman; Albert and Henry Kruschek, Waunaker, Wis.; Herman Kruschek, St. Cloud; Leo Kruschek, LaCrosse, Wis.; Mrs. Frank (Frances) Stangl, Mrs. Al (Wilhelmina) Happke and Mrs. Al (Theresa) Sand, Pierz; Mrs. Michael (Clara) Will, Lastrup; Sister Durwa, OSF, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Mrs. Mark (Grace) Nilges, Kansas City, Mo.; also 45 grandchildren. Brothers and sisters are Nick and Bill, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Margaret Schlangel, Lastrup; Mrs. Barbara Schlagel, Little Falls and Mrs. Herman Faust, St. Cloud.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Pierz, with the requiem Mass concelebrated by Rev. Alfred Stangl, Rev. Nicholas Landsberger and Rev. Alfred Heltemes. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Brenny Funeral Home, Pierz, where there will be liturgical and wake service today at 8:30 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Office of the Dead at 9:15 p.m.
