Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Shoemaker
Lyons - A double funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist church here for Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Shoemaker, killed Saturday night by their son-in-law, Donald Bunce. Burial will be in Lyons cemetery.
Mr. Shoemaker, 61, was a retired oil man. He was born in Cresston, la., Nov. 8, 1887 and had lived in Lyons 26 years.
He was married to Anna Selma Ball in Lyons May 6, 1918.
He was a member of the Methodist church, the Masonic lodge, Knights Templar at Sterling and Odd Fellows.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Shoemaker, Lyons; two daughters, Mrs William LeClair, Wichita, and Mrs Virginia Bunce, Lyons; a son, Howard Shoemaker, Lyons, and seven grandchildren.
Mrs Shoemaker was born in Lyons, Oct 18, 1895.
She is survived by six sisters, Mrs Beulah Rahlmann, San Antonio,, Mrs Dema Reynolds, McAllen, Tex., Mrs Esther Alderman, Lyons, Mrs Ruth Rymph, Topeka, Mrs Clara Schoonover and Mrs Jennie Smith, Lyons; and a brother, Richard Ball, Frederick.
